Supratidal flat is called “Sabkha”. There is below high tide except for in floods and the high evaporation occurs. Playa lake is the hyper saline lake precipitated halite crystals.   The landwards of intertidal flat supplies gypsum crystals in lime mud, so called Gypsum marsh. Most of intertidal flat is covered by algal mat and channels and ponds are generated.
